Shukuri is eight years old. She has never attended school. She does not know at all what "school" means. Shukuri`s parents are illiterates, the father a day labourer. The eight-year-old helps her parents at home. But Shukuri`s father knows how important it is to attend school: "I dream of education for my children - for an autonomous and independent future."
Ethiopian has wonderful young people. They are the future of the poorest country in the world. These children earn a chance.
