Tefera is an old man. But one day he could no longer bear the darkness that predominated in the whole wide valley that was home to his forefathers. The darkness - that's what he called the time before Menschen für Menschen came into the project region.

In the project office he said only one sentence: "We need a road." And then: "No road no truck, no truck no material, no material no school and no medical post."
The evaluation of the project by the Menschen für Menschen experts took only a few weeks. The decision came easily to Karlheinz Böhm: he simply had to express his admiration for this old man with the white goatee who, like him, was born in 1928.
For Tefera there's no doubt: the road will be built and the future will come. He mobilised the men in the valley and they simply started work. Karlheinz Böhm is all the more impressed.
