Zeppelin group based in Friedrichshafen and headquarters in Garching at Munich is committed Menschen für Menschen since 2007. On the initiative of the manager Michael Heidemann Zeppelin made a donation of 60,000 Euro first in 2007.

"Since 100 years the Zeppelin foundation in Friedrichshafen, our companion and the Zeppelin group are committed in particular for the common weal", said Ernst Susanek, Chairman of the Board. "The approach of Karlheinz Böhm’s Äthiopienhilfe, aid to self-development, sets an example for sustainability. And we promote this within the frame of our Corporate Social Responsibility activities!" In 1908 Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin founded his company and introduced it in the Zeppelin foundation with the mission to show strength social commitment beyond the corporate transaction. Though the Zeppelin group does not generate their incomes with the building of airships this mission last any longer. Today Zeppelin is an international marketing and service organization and one of the biggest exclusive merchant of Caterpillar construction machinery worldwide. Year after year a part of their incomes run into the non-profit Zeppelin foundation. Beyond the group investigate in the promotion of education, culture, social affairs and sport.
