With this distinction (Order of Merit, editor's comment.) the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany wishes to honour Karlheinz Böhm for his exceptional efforts and emphasise the great significance that his work over the past 20 years has meant for the people in Ethiopia and for peace and understanding in general.
